Basic car rental requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Each driver must present a driver’s licence held for minimum of 2 years
  • Each driver must present a personal identification document – ID card or passport
  • Minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours)
  • Vehicle pick up and return times must be identical. We tolerate only 60 minutes of delay when returning the vehicles. Upon expiration of this time limit, we shall charge you the rental cost of an extra day

PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT 

  • Rental fee is paid upon vehicle pick up either by credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard) or by cash.
  • It is mandatory to leave a deposit during the rental period. Deposit is placed either by a credit card or cash.
  • It is mandatory to use a credit card as means of a deposit payment or a cash deposit from 200 to 1000 EUR, depending on the vehicle group.

INSURANCE

CDW (COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER) - DAMAGE INSURANCE

This insurance does not cover the damage occurred in the vehicle’s interior, tyre and wheel damage, suspension damage, broken and/or lost key, damage occurred due to filling the wrong fuel type and damage inflicted either intentionally or negligently. All the mentioned damage shall be charged in full amount at the moment when vehicle is returned. When a vehicle is being returned, its condition shall be verified together by the client and our officer in order to compare thereof with the vehicle condition at the moment of its pick up. Each change to the vehicle condition, that is, any new damage shall be entered into a rental agreement form and mutually signed.

TP (THEFT PROTECTION) - THEFT INSURANCE

This insurance does not apply in case if the vehicle was unlocked at the moment when theft occurred, or the key was left in the ignition. In case of theft, the key and the documents must be with the client.

OTHER

When booking vehicles, you book one of the vehicle groups from our fleet, and within each group we offer several different models. The priority of Claro Rent-a-Car is to provide the clients with a vehicle from our fleet which they have booked.

Claro Rent-a-Car reserves the right, in case the desired vehicle is not available, to provide you with a vehicle from the same group.
